Getting in shape is a huge challenge and commitment. When I found out I was getting married last year, I was determined to go after the body I had always wanted. It was not an easy task by any means. I disciplined myself to go to the gym 3-4 days a week, no miss. There are days I'm brutally exhausted from work, but I think of the promise I had made to myself to get the body I've always wanted. On the happiest day of my life, I want to look the best I've ever looked in my life too.
I invested in a personal trainer as well, so in addition to my own workout routines and healthy eating I'm seeing the results I've wanted since graduating from college. I downloaded the MyFitnessPal app on my phone to log all my food for my trainer to review twice a week. Keeping track of my meals helps me put my dietary goals in perspective and to gather better data on my weight loss. Keeping your goals in perspective is what will get you in shape - it's all mental, and the only thing that will stop you from achieving results is you.
