Get Swole

No one ever said getting in shape was easy. Like all things in life, it involves commitment and realistic goal setting. As I gear up for my wedding in less than 3 months (eek!) I've committed myself to working out (either at the gym or at home) 4-5 days a week doing a combination of cardio and toning exercises.

Managing a 9-10 hour work day, planning a wedding, writing a blog, modeling, and being with my wonderful fiance take up the majority of my time - so how do I find the time to work out? I make the time. Here's my workout regimen that can fit into a busy lifestyle if you want it to:

Day 1: Core - 30 minutes running on the treadmill/elliptical/stairmaster, 100 crunches, 3 sets of 20 dips (triceps), 3x1 minute planks, & 3 sets of push-ups (not the girly ones)

Day 2: Arms - 30 minutes on stairmaster, 3 sets of 15 lateral pull downs, 3 sets of 20 arm presses towards ceiling (free weights), 3 sets of 20 bicep curls, 3 sets of 20 dips (triceps)

Day 3: Legs - 30 minutes on stairmaster, 100 squats, 100 lunges (w/10 lb weight), 3 sets of 20 thigh presses

Day 4: Attend Body Pump/Spin/any high intensity workout class or run 3 miles outside

Day 5: Treadmill for 20 minutes

This workout plan coupled with healthy eating is key. I do not diet personally, but I do stay away from anything fried, sugar, and alcohol. I find that avoiding certain foods opposed to restricting myself to a certain way of eating encourages me to change my lifestyle and be healthy in the long run.
